Sailing Yacht Sincerity
Nat Wilson

Nat Wilson, Captain

Captain Nat Wilson has been immersed in the yachting world all his life. He grew up in East Boothbay, Maine, a son of sailmaker Nathaniel S. Wilson. As a youth, he had many experiences sailing on traditionally rigged vessels of all sizes. Through the sail loft, the excitement of tall ships and classics was an everyday part of his life and he developed a passion for sailing and the water.

Captain Nat went to sea at 18, first sailing on the full-rigged ship HMS Rose and several yachts, including the MV Katrion, before joining the 212-foot gaff schooner Adix in Australia in 2005. He sailed on Adix across the Pacific, through the Panama Canal, and eventually to the Mediterranean. In 2007, he joined the 150-foot gaff schooner Eleonora, where he served as bosun in the Mediterranean racing season, the Caribbean, and the East Coast of the United States.

Captain Nat moved ashore in the fall of 2008 to join his father in the sailmaking business, making traditional sails and rigging. Most recently he spent a summer racing on Spartan, a NY 50 that Nathaniel S. Wilson Sailmakers made sails for, and rigged. In 2010, the sea called again and Captain Wilson joined the SY Sincerity as her Captain, a position he thoroughly enjoys.

Captain Nat has been a licensed captain since 2006, and he owns a classic Cal 40, which he sails in his spare time.

Celeste Bailey

Celeste Bailey, Chef
Celeste recently graduated from University of Massachusetts/Amherst and has since been traveling in Western Africa. Previously, she has worked under Chef Britt Galler of Acre Gourmet and truly enjoys time spent in the kitchen.

Since a young age Celeste has appreciated the creativity and hard work that goes in to a beautiful meal. From watching her mom cook an exquisite meal each night to working as a sous chef with Britt Galler, and then working at the Sweet Life Café at home on Martha's Vineyard, Celeste has cultivated her own interests as a cook. Having lived in close proximity to small, family operated farms, she understands the importance of cooking locally. Whenever possible, Celeste likes to include locally grown food into her cooking.

Growing up on Martha's Vineyard, she has been on the ocean her whole life, and she is especially excited to be combining her passions this winter, cooking and sailing.
